- To support the lightweight trend of automotive and general machinery industries, our company has developed reinforced TPU and TPU alloy modified grades, breaking the stereotype that TPU can only be used for soft elastic parts.
TPU alloy modification is mainly blending TPU with PA, PC, PBT and nitrile rubber. The alloy combines the elasticity of TPU and the chemical/oil resistance of the second polymer. It shows outstanding resistance to lubricating oil, grease and hydrocarbon solvents, suitable for automotive undercarriage dust boots, hydraulic hoses, oil seals and pump flexible connectors.
Glass fiber or mineral reinforced modified TPU greatly improves modulus, heat distortion temperature and dimensional stability. Compared with unreinforced TPU, creep under sustained load is significantly reduced, while certain elasticity and impact toughness are retained. These grades are applied to instrument brackets, conveyor structural accessories and heavy-load wear blocks.
Compared with many rigid engineering plastics, reinforced modified TPU has better vibration damping and noise reduction performance, and still supports thermoplastic recycling. It can be processed on standard injection and extrusion equipment without special modification of production lines.
We have finished dozens of successful customer cases in automotive interior and conveyor accessory projects. Custom formulation service is available: customers can provide working medium, continuous service temperature, load requirement and hardness target for material development.
Our modified TPU alloys and reinforced grades are now available for bulk delivery to overseas clients.
